An ornate dragonkin horn, traditionally used to challenge someone to a duel of honour. Bring it to the dragonkin altar to challenge Velgar.

A Challenge Horn is a quest item used in the Dragon Slayer quest where players must use five bronze bars, one dragon tooth, and one bloodwood sap, all on a smithing anvil. The horn can be used at the top of Velgar's Rise to summon Velgar.

Cathan’s challenge horn design is a collection of materials hastily thrown together. A dragon’s tooth, carved with dragonkin sigils as well as metal wires used to connect them together – like a spiderweb lattice, glistening with traces of magical power.

When placed in the dragonkin altar, the horn acts as a focus point for the magical power stored within the tower, sending an invisible beacon off into the air, in a perfect draconic pitch.

Velgar has been summoned many times before. By heroes, kings, warriors and gods, and yet still the tower stands.

Be ready, when you send out the call.
