Fire Rune
A symbol of blazing heat, essential for fire-based magic. Runes are retained if you happen to die.
Fire Runes can be crafted at a Rune Altar at level 13 Runecrafting or higher, and can deal between 6-10 base damage, along with whatever staves the player equips. Fire runes are used in spells such as Rocksplosion, Superheat, and Fire Spirit.

Journal
[edit | edit source]Guthix created runes in the First Age, here on Ashenfall. He found a way of capturing the ambient wild anima of the continent in the floating rune essence around the region. He would then give these runes to his druids, teaching them the fundamentals of magic.
The Fire Rune contains enough magical fire to light a campfire. Battle mages prize it for its ability to lob that small fire at an enemy instead. Either way, they’re a very handy resource.
