Rats gorge themselves on anything that they can find. Sometimes, a rat finds itself feasting on powerful magic, such as the pestilence of swamps or the blood of some dread beast. Those who discover such banquets grow to great size, Becoming giants of rodent kind.
On Ashenfall, the Anima Twist has become such a feast, warping these once timid creatures into aggressive and dangerous monsters. The more they feast, the larger their appetites, and they can never be truly sated.
