The following text is transcribed from the Journal.

Scripture says that all gods other than Saradomin are false, and their cultists are not to be trusted. Yet, I don’t see it that way today. As the village has fallen to the shambling nightmare that is the withering, the other priests and I have worked together to save who we can.

There are dead buried deep below the soil and their bones carry the power of prayer in them, like all do. So we priests prayed together, a union of faith, to erect a barrier of belief to keep the withered villagers contained.

Our prayers bound to the icons, and only together will the village be re-opened once more.

A tragic loss, truly. Emberwood could have been the great human utopia. Faiths working side by side. Amalgamated and not – villagers who do not let their differences define them. Two great dragons, to watch over us and keep us safe. It could have been perfect.

But belief needs adversity, or it becomes complacency. This will be a trial for each of us that we must strive to overcome.
